Job Description

• Support the Finance Manager and Finance Director in ensuring a consistent approach to accounting policy across the successful group.
• Establish strong working relationships with key stakeholders (both internal and external). Including attending meetings and providing reports to all levels of internal and external clients.
• Play a key role alongside other members of the finance team ensuring a successful month end close.
• Support and lead on key projects to add real commercial value to the business.
• Support periodic management accounts/variance analysis in accordance with agreed deadlines and controls.
• Support monthly and quarterly group consolidation including group reporting pack collation and submission.
• To assist in the preparation and production of annual budgets and periodic forecasts including cash forecasts in accordance with agreed deadlines.
• Handle balance sheet controls and reconciliations and support in the review of a portfolio of balance sheet reconciliations.
• Promote a consistent approach to financial policy, procedure, compliance and controls across the group.
• To assist in the improvement and development of relevant and accurate management and accounting information delivered to operational management and heads of department. Liaise with management to resolve information requirements and queries as and when they occur. Provide financial support to non-finance managers.
• Support the annual group audit process.
• Support in preparation statutory financial statements.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ideally an ACA qualified individual from a top 10 training background looking at first/second move into industry. Strong Excel and analytical skills. Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadline. The confidence to work closely with a senior leadership team and influence key decision making.
