Your new role
In this Bury based semi senior accountant job you will work with limited companies, sole traders and partnerships and work on Sage and Xero accounting software. Your duties will include predominately preparing year-end accounts for clients with turnovers into the millions, quarterly bookkeeping and prepare quarterly VAT returns You will be required to liaise with the clients on a daily basis via email and telephone and occasionally face to face in order to ensure all necessary documentation is provided.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

The partners are looking to appoint an individual that has past experience working in a practice environment and is competent in preparing year-end accounts to partner review. You must be able to demonstrate a passion for developing your career within practice and good communications skills as you will be liaising with clients on a regular basis. Any prior experience with Sage or Xero accounting software would be desirable. As you will be joining a friendly team and supporting the rest of the team with high volumes of work you will need to possess a strong work ethic and interpersonal skills.
