A recent re-structure and continued success of this owner managed firm in central Manchester has created the need for an experienced Company Accountant to support the Managing Director during the next phase of growth.

This role is key to the MD’s plans and presents a genuine opportunity for individuals to have a positive impact on the business but also be part of the on-going development which will include improving and updating the existing finance processes.

You will work closely with the Managing Director and your responsibilities will cover all areas of the accounting function, from invoice processing through to the monthly accounts that will be used to provide the MD with a greater insight into how the business is performing.

There are already established systems in place but part of this role will be to review these and identify ways of streamlining and improving them (if necessary), with the aim or reducing the time taken to gather financial information.

On a monthly basis you will be required to discuss the current financial position of the business with the MD, and on an annual basis you will be the key contact for the external accountants.

Although a challenging role this position will provide the successful candidate with the autonomy to run the finance function in a way that suits their style, and it will allow complete transparency on how the business is performing along with an insight into any future plans.

To be considered for the role you must be able to demonstrate relevant previous experience, along with excellent communication skills across all levels and departments within a business.
