Job Description

The role will include the construction interface between Energetics Asset Management (EAM) and any other third party Infrastructure Connections Providers (ICP's), including Energetics Design & Build (ED&B), thus ensuring the networks are built to EAM's Technical and Safety standards and that ED&B satisfy the company's high standards of safety.
3. MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
The post holder will be expected to provide support in the construction and adoption of multi utility assets; this will include a particular focus on gas or electric networks. The duties will include:
" To conduct safety, health, construction quality and environmental audits, surveys and inspections on in-construction and adopted multi utility assets; this southern based role will mainly focus on assets within the South Region but will require travel to inspect assets across the UK.
" Carry out audit checks on all aspects of network construction including mains laying, service laying, meter installations and pressure regulating installations and update the database and other records.
" Prepare and maintain records of audits and asset lists.
" Ensure that safe working practices are maintained at all times.
" Carry out regular site inspections on ICP's to check policies and procedures are being properly implemented.
" Communicate any updates/changes to our working practices or technical standards to comply with current legislation.
" Where competent to do so, liaise with officials from regulatory authorities to ensure the Company is compliant with mandatory regulations.
" Ensure good communication is maintained with EAM Network Managers, ICP Site Managers (or equivalent) and Developers.
" Liaise with up-stream Network Operators as and when required.
" Carry out other duties which are appropriate to the post as may be reasonably requested by your Line Manager.
" Provide monthly reports to the EAM Manager and the Regional Director.
4. EMPLOYEE SPECIFICATION/KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
Previous construction/utility experience in particular the construction and inspection and standards compliance of gas networks; preferably within Multi-occupancy properties although training will be provided to a candidates with other relevant experience

Experienced in risk assessment, auditing and risk management techniques.

Produce reports for various levels in the organisations following inspections and audits.

High standard of written and spoken communication.

Maintain and analyse databases of inspections

Organised with attention to detail

Full driving licence. Knowledge of and experience of metering


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Education and Qualifications SHEA NEBOSH General Certificate or IOSH or SMSTS Qualification Relevant experience in utility asset construction and/or operation Experience in Auditing HNC/HND in Engineering NRSWA Qualification NCO/GNO Main laying/service laying Other skills, knowledge and experience Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
