Job Description

Company Accountant required to join a fledgling construction company based in in the Rochdale office. They are seeking an experienced Accountant to perform in a standalone role who will be tasked with the monthly reporting and building the trial balance while also handling the VAT and Payroll also. This is a full time permanent opportunity seeking a CIMA/ACCA qualified Senior Accountant seeking a fulfilling role in the construction sector.

Accountant Position Overview

• Preparing monthly management accounts for the directors
• Issuing retentions and payment applications
• Processing and submitting the payroll
• Month end reconciliations
• Preparing and submitting the VAT returns monthly
• Preparing the trial balance to send off to the external Accountants

Accountant Position Remuneration

• £27,000 - £33,000 per annum
• Mon - Thurs 9:00 - 15:30 Fri 9:00 - 15:00
• Part time hours will be considered also

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Sage experience is essential for this position. ACCA or CIMA would be advantageous. Experience working in the construction industry. Must have experience creating and adjusting the trial balance and creating monthly management accounts.
