We are looking for a talented Accounting Associate to join the SPXFLOW Shared Service Centre, located in Didsbury, South Manchester on a 12 month fixed term contract. The Financial Accounting and Reporting team manages a range of controllership activities including executing the month end close processes in the ERP system (SAP) and consolidation system (Hyperion), preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations and delivering external reporting commitments for VAT and Intrastat.

The Associate role provides key accounting support for the Financial Accountants and has responsibility for accurate and compliant journal preparation and posting in SAP, providing timely business unit reporting in Hyperion to strict month end deadlines and ensuring compliance of a wide range of balance sheet reconciliations. All of this is performed in a Sarbanes Oxley compliant environment, where upholding key process controls is an embedded part of the day to day operation.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

To succeed in this role you will be studying towards an Accounting qualification or have an experience of working within an accounting environment where you have experienced balance sheet accounting. You will have a continuous improvement mind-set and a passion for customer service. You will be IT savvy and have a good understanding of SAP or a similar ERP system and will be able to use your strong excel skills as a differentiator. European languages are desirable, but not essential.
