Accountant

£48,000 + Pension + Free Parking

This is a brilliant opportunity for a hard-working and professional Accountant to join an established local organisation and oversee the accounts and finance function.

Some of your duties will include:

- Managing the accounts function and overseeing a team of accounts staff on a day to day basis

- Supervising the production of the sales, purchase and nominal ledger function to trail balance level

- Reconciling bank statements on a weekly basis and investigating anomalies that occur

- Preparing monthly staff payroll and producing quarterly VAT returns, processing HMRC payments

- Producing profit and loss reports, cash-flow forecasts, management accounts and annual budgets

- Assisting the Auditors with the year-end process and submission of statutory returns to Companies House
