Job Description

The role will require working with multiple stakeholders within Naimuri, within the C&I business as well as within the wider QinetiQ Group. The individual will be required to lead and advise the Naimuri Management Team on all financial matters whilst also being the key point of contact for the C&I and QinetiQ Group finance team. QinetiQ is seeking a high energy individual who will take a proactive approach to delivering this role.

Key Accountabilities:
1. Act as the accounting & finance reporting lead within the Naimuri business to ensure monthly accounts and KPIs are reported in an accurate and timely manner either via Hunters or directly from within Naimuri.
2. Leading on delivery of the Naimuri annual Budgets, quarterly forecasts and monthly Latest Best Estimates (LBE) as well as playing a key role in compiling the 5 year Integrated Strategic Business Plan. Ensuring all plans are achievable but have an appropriate level of challenge.
3. Lead and develop on ensuring appropriate financial controls are in place within the Naimuri business
4. Working closely with the C&I Business Finance Team on tracking business performance against the approved acquisition and investment case
5. Driving the financial integration of the Naimuri business into the C&I business

Key Capabilities/Knowledge:

  • A sound understanding and experience of P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash flow
  • Ability to manage the financial reporting requirements of a larger parent company whilst also adding value to the delivery and growth of the Naimuri business
  • Managing multiple stakeholders i.e. Naimuri Management Team, the externally contracted accountancy team (Hunters), C&I Management Team including the C&I Finance Director and Financial Controller as well as members of the QinetiQ Group Finance Team.
  • Ability to lead the Naimuri business through financial integration into C&I and the wider QinetiQ business
  • Ability to apply a pro-active approach to all aspects of the role, work autonomously and priorities work appropriately

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Qualified accountant ACA, ACCA or CIMA with experience of working in finance with a proven track record of delivering on time. Experience of stakeholder management and the ability to form and maintain good relationships within the organization and communicate clearly and concisely. Good Microsoft Excel skills. Experience in communicating confidently and being able to translate financial information into simple and straight-forward messages. Demonstrate experience in adding value to business delivery and growth. Key qualities: proactive, organized, managing multiple priorities. Experience of financially integrating a subsidiary into a parent company would be beneficial. Experience of working in defense is not required. Must be a UK national and will require security clearance.
