We are entering an extensive period of business transformation which will focus heavily on digital growth, automation and integration. We are looking for a Management Accountant to join our team in Runcorn on an 18 month Fixed Term Contract while we carry out the Finance Transformation project.
The primary responsibilities and focus of your role will be to prepare the monthly management accounts for the businesses within the PHOENIX UK Group ensuring accordance to UK and International reporting standards.
Alongside the preparation of forecasts, budgets and long term plans for PHOENIX UK Group while providing an explanation of financial and statistical information, and variances to plan to a variety of key Finance and Non-Finance stakeholders throughout the company.
Key Responsibilities:
Preparation, completion and review of month-end accounts for the businesses within the PHOENIX UK Group ensuring adherence to tight deadlines.
Responsibility for tracking and reporting all trading margins.
Providing monthly variance analysis for actual results against budgeted and forecasted figures.
Providing insight and assessment to maintain and aide in the transformation of Finance processes and accounting policies to support and strengthen internal controls.
Compilation and review of forecasts, budgets and other scenario planning in conjunction with other PHOENIX stakeholders.
Coordination, review and delivery of monthly, quarterly and annual information and reports required by internal and external stakeholders including FTE reporting using Eurostat.
Providing the monthly review of actual, forecast and budgeted spend with budget holders providing financial, analytical and business support and challenge when required.
Taking ownership of the balance sheet accounts and associated controls.
Who we want:
We are looking for an energetic and dynamic Qualified Accountant with 3 year’s post qualification experience of financial analysis and management reporting. Possessing a proven ability to prepare and analyze detailed management accounts preferably with a focus on statutory accounts reporting and tax.
You will have strong interpersonal skills to ensure clear and effective communication of financial results and detailed schedules to both Finance and Non-Finance Managers. With the ability to prioritise complex projects with strict deadlines while maintaining excellent attention to detail and adherence to UK and International reporting standards will be crucial to success in this role.
You must possess one of the following Qualifications; ACA, ACCA or CIMA Qualified Accountant.
