Your new role
In this semi senior accountant job you will be preparing statutory accounts from manual records and trial balance to partner review for limited companies, groups and charities with many clients turnovers reaching into the millions. You will be drafting corporation tax computations, VAT returns and get involved with some management accounts and bookkeeping. On top of this, you will be going out on audit assignments with the rest of the team getting involved with both planning the audit and testing when on site; audit training will be provided.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

The partners are seeking an experienced individual who has recently worked within practice preparing year end accounts for a range of clients. Even though audit work will be a part of this role past experience is not essential, however an eagerness to learn audit and carry out audit assignments is. The firm deal with some large clients in terms of turnover and it would be ideal if you had dealt with clients into the millions. As this is a client facing position strong interpersonal skills and communication skills are essential. You will need to be able to work to strict deadlines and be able to service multiple clients at the same time.
