Job Description

We are looking for a detail orientated individual who can deliver accurate results and also identify where things can potentially go wrong. We have had our fair share of things going missing through poor stock accounting, void/refund control etc and paid the price so we are very keen to work with someone diligent who can identify any potential stock losses or theft.

Requires a qualified accountant with a strong process driven, commercial management accounting track record and the ability to work closely and interface effectively with owners part time finance director and non-finance stakeholders to continue and become an integral part of the company’s expansion.

Lead finance role within the business, reporting to and working closely with the owners/co-founders and part time finance director to manage the business finances. You will be leading a small finance team so being a great leader and self starter who leads from the front to bring changes into the business are the most important thing we are looking for, you must be prepared to be confident in your own decisions and take charge of financial processes and lead this change with the managers throughout the company. You will mainly be based between our Bishops Stortford and East London sites so being willing to travel is also essential.

We are looking for a 'common sense' accountant who understands the big picture and our industry as a whole.

We are looking for up to date reporting as fast as possible and you will have the support of 3-4 others to help you achieve the weekly KPI deadlines and require a good leader who can make sure he/she and their team can meet dealines for checking off all necessary tasks.

Your main roles (along with assistance from your team) will be shared upon application but industry standard.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £45,000.00-£55,000.00 per year

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Previous experience in food retailing and restaurants would be great but not a pre-requisite - we'd prefer you to be good at maths ;)Qualified accountant from industry and commerce (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) preferred Multi-site experience Natural self starter Process driven Retail is advantageous Excel skills current accounting software is xero and quickbooks Proactive Comfortable working and communicating with all levels in the business from owners to shop floor employees
