Job Description

We’re recruiting a Senior Accountant – Performance Insights, a new and exciting role within our Finance Performance and Planning team.  You will be joining a growing team at the Society, and will have the opportunity to take a lead role in driving the development, innovation and control in our Financial models to create value adding insight.

You’ll assist in the design, implementation and management of a suite of regular MI to drive insight into business performance seeking to ensure the business makes effective operational and strategic decision making.

You’ll deliver timely insight on our asset and deposit portfolio, customer behaviours, operational capacity and prepare relevant and actionable recommendations for Management Committees, Execute and Board.

You will be a key contributor to improving our processes and controls and supporting Stakeholders across the Society in generating actionable data, insight and analyses on the critical revenue and funding streams.

As a subject matter expert on data mining, model development, spreadsheet design and control you’ll prepare ad hoc data analysis and perform simulations and stress tests on proposed and existing models within the team structure.

You’ll maintain the Finance models in accordance with standards and protocols across the Society and lead the model control environment, documenting processes, data flow diagrams and ensuring compliance with the Society’s governance frameworks.
About You

Ideally you’ll have worked in complex data rich organisations and will have gained substantial data mining experience and be used to manipulating and presenting complex data sets and preparing detailed technical analysis and communicating the results to stakeholders in a simple and straight forward way.

You’ll be curious and want to understand how your role and activity fits and adds value in the context of Finance and the wider Society as a whole.  You’ll continually look for opportunities to develop both yourself and your team and look to step outside of the confines of your role in the support of colleagues and the Society.  You’ll engage honestly and constructively with your colleagues across the business to deliver great outcomes and ultimately cultivate an environment of collaboration, innovation and idea sharing.
