The role has been created to support their current Finance Manager in the delivery of the UK financials to Group.
As Management Accountant you will:
Support the UK Finance Manager in the delivery of all local and group accounting requirements. Typically these will include but by no means be limited to:
Preparation of Management Accounts, including income statements and Balance Sheet control/reconciliation
Support on the Budget and Forecasting process
Inter-company accounting/reporting
Oversee General Ledger, Sales and Purchase Ledger functions
Provide mentorship to the junior member of the team
Fixed asset control
Group reporting in Hyperion
Stock Management
VAT and Tax compliance matters
Supporting the payroll process (outsourced)
Liaison with the external stakeholders including Auditors/Tax consultants
Ad hoc project work

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
To be successful in this role you will need to have a strong technical accounting background and a solid understanding of the fundamentals of double-entry accounting. You will ideally have a strong educational background and may or may not be working towards your professional accountancy qualification, those with and without will be considered. Part of this role entails mentoring the junior member of the accounts team who is currently studying towards AAT, if you have already been through that qualification yourself, it would be a distinct advantage. Training will be offered on their financial systems but previous experience of SAP and a good understanding of Excel would be another positive attribute.
