Job Description

This role offers you the opportunity to work proactively with divisional Finance Business Partners and other key stakeholders to support and further develop the working relationships between the Finance function and the business. In part, this will be through the provision of accurate, valuable and innovative commercial financial analysis. Your role will be critical to the continuous improvement of DWF's financial performance.

You will need to gain a detailed understanding of performance drivers within the business and your responsibilities will include:

• Analyzing those performance drivers so as to drive the early identification of risks, opportunities and other operational insights and efficiencies.
• Collaborating with other parts of the Finance team to review and assess financial reports, and to gain a deep understanding of how divisional results are derived.
• Supporting the annual budget process and monthly and full year forecasting process through analysis of historical financial data, future pipeline information and active participation in review meetings with senior stakeholders.
• Contributing to, and help to improve the presentation / impact of, regular financial reporting for a senior audience, so as to enhance understanding of business performance.

· Contributing to forward looking, large scale and/or high-impact commercial and investment decisions through the support provided in respect of financial analysis – and to assess the performance of those decisions once actioned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

We are keen to hear from candidates who share our drive to deliver high quality, accurate and meaningful financial information to the business. We are interested in talking with candidates who are qualified accountants (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) and have a responsive and inquisitive nature. Candidates who trained in industry will need to demonstrate significant experience of a commercial Finance role in a listed, international and / or legal business. To be successful in this role, you must be reliable and passionate about driving better results through the interrogation and analysis of financial data. You will have a strong focus on process improvement, and will need excellent communication skills to engage with and influence colleagues at a variety of levels. A high level of commercial acumen and the ability to identify relevant and interesting trends, anomalies and other pertinent narrative within financial results will be key to success in this position. You also need to be highly competent at data investigation and analysis, being able to extract and scrutinise large volumes of multi-faceted information.
