Job Description

Your New Role As Finance Manager:
As Finance Manager, and a key part of the management team you shall support and manage a small team who are responsible for month-end reporting and the management of cash flow across the business. You shall liaise with a number of stakeholders and develop process and procedure to ensure timely accounts. Instrumental in the production of Month end you shall organize and improve the month end timetable to ensure the process is completed efficiently. With the ability to develop procedures in the department you shall seek to improve the monthly reporting and work to overhaul process. Responsible for the management of the Year-end Process and production of the Statement of Accounts to timescales, the Finance Manager is an important part of the management team. You shall also gain exposure to the development and implementation of new software to streamline process and produce efficiency throughout the department. Providing additional support across the organization to maintain strong working relationships, your ability to business partner and provide financial insight in a clear and concise way will enable important decisions to be made.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
You shall be a qualified Chartered or Certified Accountant (CCAB, CIMA, ACCA, ACA) with a minimum of three years’ experience in a similar role. Ideally with a management qualification and exposure to the supervision of staff, you shall have also had experience of working in a financial environment within local government. With experience of managing cash flow and reducing costs you shall also have held responsibility for producing a Statement of Accounts and of course managing, motivating and leading a team.
