Job Description

What will you do

This position is a key role within our Global Country Financial Services function supporting the UK & Ireland. You will be heavily involved in the preparation of statutory financial statements, working closely with external auditors, reporting in FRS102 as well as performing the reconciliation of General Ledger accounts. In this role you will also provide support to the annual corporate budgeting process.

How you will do it

  • Reconciliation from US GAAP accounting to FRS102 financial statements.
  • Preparation of annual financial statements including appendix and management reports.
  • Account assignment of closing entries.
  • Overviewing Assets and Liabilities for General Ledger Accounts.
  • Implementation and coordination of external audits.
  • Close cooperation with external auditors and the tax department for given entities.
  • Balance sheet reconciliation for certain accounts on a monthly basis.
  • Reconciliation of intercompany billing and recharges.
  • Reconciliation of asset accounting.
  • Determination of provisions and accruals.
  • Preparation of evaluations for costs by type or cost Centre.
  • Support for statistics reports.
  • Close cooperation with out Bratislava Business Centre.
  • Preparation of annual financial statements under FRS102.
  • Supporting the business to provide the technical accounting requirement under local GAAP.
  • Involvement with Corporate Initiative Transaction project where applicable.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent education and experience. Accounting qualifications such as ACCA or ACA or ICAS. Previous experience working in Statutory Accounting or in an External Audit environment is a must. Experience preparing, reviewing and or analyzing Statutory Financial Statements. Thorough knowledge of US accounting theory and its application in practice. Proven ability to prepare account analysis and reconciliations. Excellent communication skills and customer focused approach. Ability to work well independently and work well in a team setting. Experienced user of Excel. Fluent in English.
