Job Description

Your role will involve managing a small and busy team who provide an efficient and effective accountancy service to the management team to enable them to achieve their strategic objectives. You will engage with a variety of budget holders including Quantity Surveyors and Buyers providing them with timely and reliable financial information. You will support delivery of the finance vision including maximizing our IT systems, continuous improvement and embedding a value for money culture.

Regular duties will include

• Producing a set of monthly management accounts and forecasting projects
• Updating finance schedules
• Business Partnering – working with budget holders and providing them with key analysis of financial information to aid in business decision making
• Creating budgets
• Facilitating budget planning and review meetings
• Completing returns such as VAT and CIS
• Managing the cash requirements of the business ensuring suppliers are paid on time
• Writing reports
• Leading on the management of the finance system
• Attending meetings as part of the wider Operational Finance Team

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

We are looking for a Management Accountant with a proven track record in a similar position who has excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills and is highly organized. Knowledge of construction or cost accounting is required to be successful in this role. You will be joining an exciting, busy construction business who recognizes hard work and understand how important being a close-knit team brings achievement and opportunities.
