Job Description

You’ll be joining a growing team at the Society, and will have the opportunity to take a lead role in driving commercial value at a critical time, both internally and externally.

You’ll be a key contributor to driving value add analysis, improve our processes and controls, and support wider teams across the Society in generating actionable insight and analysis on the critical revenue streams.

You’ll be part of the wider Financial Performance & Planning leadership team and help us foster an environment which is empowering, collaborative, focused on delivery and doing the right thing.  We want to encourage you to challenge the status quo to drive improvements and enjoy working with others to solve complex technical challenges.
You’ll be developing a small team of technical specialists, supporting learning plans for all team members and demonstrating a continuous improvement approach and mindset.
About You

As a qualified accountant, you’ll have substantial experience in a Reporting and Analysis function, ideally in Financial Services. You’ll have a commercial mind-set, coupled with an ability to embed value add processes, analysis and information on Society performance for stakeholders at all levels.
You’ll be used to preparing detailed financial and commercial analysis and communicating the results and recommended next steps to stakeholders in a simple and straight forward way.

You’ll have advanced excel skills and enjoy working with others to solve complex technical challenges.

You’ll be curious and want to understand how your role and activity fits and adds value in the context of Finance and the wider Society as a whole.  You’ll continually look for opportunities to develop both yourself and your team and look to step outside of the confines of your role in the support of colleagues and the Society.  You’ll engage honestly and constructively with your colleagues across the business to deliver great outcomes and ultimately cultivate an environment of collaboration, innovation and idea sharing.
