A candidate with a desire to demonstrate business analysis and robust management accounts support would be ideal. Any experience gained within a Group function -retail, logistics, wholesale or a national multi-site organisation would be an advantage.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Be able to take responsibility for the below - reporting to the Commercial Finance Manager • Preparing Management Accounts; accruals and variance analysis • Accounting for correct stock margins and problem solving regarding active margin and stock; (Stock-sales movements in/out, stock write offs, initial stock costs/purchase price, GRNI) • Improvement of margin allocation • Support the budgeting and forecasting procedure, ensuring accurate margins and trends • Handling complex journal transactions resulting in multiple ledger postings • Running ad-hoc financial reports for Directors • Actively reviewing and overseeing supplier discounts and rebates • Ensure consistent balance sheet reconciliation • Provide information to internal audit team when necessary
