Job Description

The role will work closely with the education service and also alongside the existing finance staff who support the service on a day to day basis.
Areas of work will include:
The DSG recovery plan - supporting detailed monitoring and reporting progress against the plan, financial modelling of SEND services
Business Transformation of SEND services
Redesign of detailed finance processes within and in support of managing and reporting of Education services
Distilling and embedding end to end processes for improved future service provision to facilitating knowledge transfer to existing support staff in the service and in finance
Desirable experience:
Experience of financial systems and reporting
Management Information System use

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Recent finance experience supporting Education services - and specifically SEND services including Dedicated School Grant (DSG) funding allocation issues Experience of working on or managing Projects Complex financial modelling over multiple years using numerous data sources and large quantities of data Excellent knowledge and application of Excel Experience of initiating and handling challenging conversations with Senior Management
