Your new role
As a Portfolio Manager you will be responsible for the hands on management of a portfolio of SME, OMBs, larger limited companies, partnerships and sole traders predominantly under the audit threshold. You will be responsible delivering around 160k worth of fees which will include year end accounts and tax compliance, management accounts, VAT work, ad hoc advisory projects and cashflow forecasting. You will take ownership of your portfolio and be responsible for meeting clients out on site and working with the manager to lead year end client meetings.

The firm will have a hybrid way of working split across working from home and in their Bolton office. Other benefits include 24 days holiday, parking on site, life assurance, employer pension and regular staff socials. Dependent on experience the salary on offer ranges from £27000 - £40000.

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

The firm are seeking an experienced practice trained accountant who is ideally ACA / ACCA / AAT qualified and is competent preparing and submitting year end accounts and tax compliance for OMBs. As this is a client facing portfolio manager role you must have strong interpersonal and organisational skills and ideally you will have a proven track record of building and maintaining good relationships with your clients. The firm will consider full time hours, 4 days a week or 5 shorter days to fit around childcare arrangements.
