Job Description
The Role
Oversee and manage the shared service accounts receivable process
Ensure that all taxation matters are executed correctly and seamlessly in accordance with statutory requirements
To ensure intercompany trade and other loan transactions with UK entities are correctly reconciled monthly
Deliver fully reconciled trial balances on monthly basis
Preparation of monthly full year forecast, and presentation to the business unit leadership team of the sites results YTD as well as the forecast for the remainder of the year
To support the year-end audit and the subsequent preparation and production of statutory accounts for the business unit entity and holding entity
To support the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures
Developing financial partnering relationships across the global Finance team and operational teams
Support the business to develop robust capital investment projections, profiling and subsequent recording
Providing financial management information and support to meet client requests
Preparation of the annual budget for the site including site presentation to the business unit leadership team
Work with HR to oversee UK and overseas Payroll and P11Ds
Graduate and professionally qualified, or part qualified at final stage, accountant
Costing experience ideally relevant to Pharma/FMCG or manufacturing
Technical knowledge of current accounting standards and US GAAP
Sound knowledge of UK Tax legalisation including VAT, corporate Tax, capital allowances
Management and Financial Accounting experience
Strong IT skills in Excel and preferably Oracle
Team player with strong influencing and interpersonal skills
Proactive self-motivated approach

High level of integrity
Good communication and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise work in order to meet timetables and deadlines

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
The Senior Financial Accountant will be joining a strong finance function within the pharmaceutical industry. Experience in this industry is preferred but others would be considered such as FMCG The Senior Financial Accountant must be least 2/3 years post qualification, strong excel user, attention to detail is key, good organisational skills, quick learner, independently motivated and results driver, happy to work in fast paced role Ensure effective working capital management and to further improve the UK’s cash flow management and forecasting processes.
