Job Description
(This role is initially based in Gateshead then will moved to Jarrow in 2021)
- Be the first point of contact for all HR related queries and refer to appropriate HR/Operational team member.
- Process weekly starters and leavers in conjunction with the Payroll Department and issue relevant letters.
- Administer HR-related documentation, including new starter pack and contracts of employment. Ensure documents of personal records, pension, vehicle, life assurance, right to work and equal opportunity are accurately maintained
- Arrange new starter inductions ensuring all relevant paperwork is documented on first day of employment
- Ensure the relevant HR & Payroll system is maintained accurately and complies with current legislation
- General correspondence is issued & recorded accurately
- Maintain employee E-files accurately
- Co-ordinate Drugs & Alcohol testing as and when required
- Action all sickness records whilst maintaining confidentiality at all times, reporting any ‘long-term’ absences to the relevant HR team member.
- Assist with the submission of HR1’s and collective redundancies process producing spreadsheets, at risk letters, matrixes etc
- Assist in collation of Employee Liability Information for contract award and contract loss across the UK
- Arrange and assist with note taking of disciplinaries. Produce relevant outcome letter to the employee, following full disciplinary process in line with Company Disciplinary Procedure
- Coordinate new nuclear onboarding, liaising with onsite main contacts. Report any issues to Management and relevant HR lead in a timely manner.
- Assist with recruitment, liaising with external agencies ensuring rates are negotiated prior to recruitment
- Advertise internal and external job vacancies and maintain Careers inbox
- Assist with interviews and issue relevant correspondence in a timely manner
- Maintain and distribute the Company Organisation charts & people directory
- Maintain and analyse the employee relations tracker reporting trends to the relevant HR team member
- Coordinating and administering all communications with the group travel system and perkbox benefit scheme. Ensuring records are accurately maintained and any issues are reported to the HR Lead
- Keeping track of all monthly new monthly starters and probationary review dates, ensuring all probationary review forms are completed by managers and informing the HR Lead so relevant benefits can be offered
- Subject Access Requests are actioned upon request whilst adhering to GDPR
- GDPR, conduct audits and mapping ensuring that all office and sites are adhering to GDPR legislation
- Provide support to the wider HR team to ensure efficient delivery of HR Services to the business
