Job Description
No two days are the same at Clarity, but on a typical day you will;
- Support the Finance Manager in all aspects of the month end close.
- Supervise, conduct appraisals and coach one direct report
- Support periodic management accounts/variance analysis in accordance with agreed deadlines and controls.
- Support monthly and quarterly group consolidation including group reporting pack collation and submission.
- Assist in the preparation and production of annual budgets and periodic forecasts including cash forecasts in accordance with agreed deadlines. Challenge management and assumptions appropriately to ensure budgets and forecasts are accurate.
- Be responsible for the balance sheet controls and reconciliations. Support in the review of a portfolio of balance sheet reconciliations to ensure these stand up to audit challenge.
- Support the Finance Manager to ensure a consistent approach to accounting policy across the business.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Be a qualified accountant with 1+ years of PQE within industry. Have excellent Excel skills, accuracy and attention to detail. Have knowledge of the back-office systems, data warehouse system, or a willingness to develop these skills. Have experience in manipulating and managing large quantities of data using Excel or similar tool. Be enthusiastic and proactive with a friendly positive manner. Have clear communication skills by phone, written and verbal. Have the ability to think logically and consider relevant aspects, with strong analytical skills. Have the ability to manage workload under stress, to plan and re-organize projects to meet deadlines. Business Travel industry knowledge and understanding of sales policies and processes is not essential but would be an advantage.
