Support the Financial Controller in areas of management and financial reporting whilst ensuring internal financial controls and systems are properly implemented.
Key Responsibilities
Processing and posting of expenses, credit card and Company petty cash returns
Sales ledger uploads at month end
Assist with credit control
Assist with invoicing customers, including the use of various online portals
ONS returns, Intrastat and EC sales listings
Support Purchase Ledger, including posting supplier invoices and reconciling supplier statements at month end
P&L analysis and transactional data analysis
Assist with stock-takes and implement best practice stock-take procedures
Access useful reports from Optimus and manipulate data
Provide assistance as needed to the Purchase and Sales Ledger departments
Support the Financial Controller and Assistant Accountant during the month end process

Knowledge, skills and experience:
Qualified or part qualified AAT (Accounting Technician or equivalent)
Strong knowledge of MS Excel / Office
Sociable with strong interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate effectively
Excellent attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
Flexible approach and have the ability to implement and is receptive of change
Work to tight deadlines
Ability to work on own initiative and work as part of a wider team, willing to help others at short notice
Access Dimensions or similar financial reporting system (not essential but desirable)
