Job Description

The requirements in the role:
A temporary secondment vacancy 12 months minimum term has arisen within the Finance department for an Accountant Clerk reporting to the Plant Financial Controller

• Preparation and posting of monthly journals
• Accruals and Prepayment calculations
• Balance Sheet reconciliations
• Understanding of inter-company transactions
• Accounts receivable (Analyse price and quantity discrepancies)
• Fixed Asset reporting (Additions, Disposals, Depreciation calculations)
• Understanding of the purchase order process and goods receiving
• Office for National Statistics reporting

The successful candidate will demonstrate:
• AAT Qualified as a minimum or equivalent
• An understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley is desirable or similar
• SAP experience desirable
• Knowledge of fixed assets is key
• Experience within a Manufacturing environment is desirable
• Strong communication skills with a flexible approach in working with colleagues and customers of different levels inside/outside the Company and to achieve goals and business objectives
• An ability to prioritise workloads to reflect the urgency to meet business need
• A priority to demonstrate the ability to work to strict deadlines
• Dedicated and thorough attention to detail
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with large volumes of data in a multi- currency environment
