Job Description

The role of Accounts Assistant is a varied and interesting opportunity covering Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger, Credit Control duties with some cashiering aspects. Working in a small team you’ll assist in the day to day workings of the Accounts department; helping to process the paperwork, allocate payments and answer queries along with month end nominal ledger reconciliations

What does the role of Accounts Assistant involve?

Purchase Ledger duties; liaising, on behalf of the dealership, with the suppliers of goods and services provided, processing and accurately completing purchase invoices on time
Sales Ledger duties; basic debt control and recovery, processing and allocation of warranty credits and manufacturer bonus credits through the system


What do you need to succeed as Accounts Assistant?

Experience within an accounts department and in the areas of both Purchase and Sales Ledger or an interest in developing a career within accountancy
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
The ability to meet strict deadlines
A team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
Highly computer literate and have experience of working with Microsoft Excel spreadsheets
