Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Management Accountant / Finance Manager on behalf of a thriving Lancashire business. Working as part of a small SMT and reporting to the FD, you will be responsible for providing in-depth commercial analysis, along with KPI reporting, forecasting, budgeting and planning. You will be instrumental in driving change and processes within the operational teams, to meet the growing needs of the business.

Senior Management Accountant / Finance Manager- Key Responsibilities:

• Production of the monthly management and financial accounts
• Margin analysis
• Working closely with the operational and commercial teams
• MI Reporting
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Produce annual budget & forecasts
• Monthly variance analysis and commentary around budgets & forecasts
• Stock reporting and management
• Management of aged debtors
• Provide detailed analysis of key performance indicators for inclusion in Board Reporting
• Fixed asset register management
• Payroll / HMRC payments and journals
• VAT returns
• Capex appraisals
• Managing the finance team
• Process and systems improvements

This position is paying up to £40k pa with scope to grow the role and develop, they require a team player, keen to progress and who has a broad business acumen.

• Management Accounts: 3 years (Preferred)

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Qualified management accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent). Strong commercial business and cost accounting experience. Strong system skills - Advanced Excel. Commercial awareness and understanding of core department/business processes. Ability to analyze and interpret relevant information and discuss with non-finance colleagues. Enthusiastic and driven with a real passion for developing yourself. Be able to adapt and keep pace with a fast-moving environment that changes and flexes to meet the businesses needs.
