Job Description

My client is seeking a Purchase Ledger Clerk to assist the finance team on a permanent basis. This is an extremely fast paced environment so must be happy to work in that.

You will be working for one of the largest independent organisations within their field based in the UK.They work with premium brands within the business and are firmly established within the sector.

On a daily basis you will be dealing with 100+ invoices so it is imperative you are able to work in a fast paced environment.c.

You will be responsible for the timely and accurate preparation and loading of all invoices and credit notes onto the ledger, the allocation of all payments and the reconciliation of supplier statements to the ledger.
You will be reporting to the Finance Operations Controller and required to effectively communicate and co-ordinate with, Regional Managers, Accounts Department, senior Management, and all other head office departments and personnel. The Purchase Ledger Clerk will also assist the accounts department as required with various ad hoc financial accounting, analytical and reporting tasks. The Purchase Ledger Clerk may also be required to assist other departments with financial and administrative activities from time to time.

Salary up to £25K and the working hours are Monday to Friday 9-5pm Other benefits include free on site car parking , 22 days plus bank holidays (increasing to 24 after 3 years` service, and 25 after 5 years` service) ,Private healthcare if taken on permanently. ,Salary exchange pension.

 


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of Sage is essential
