Job Description

Responsible for:

  • Working as part of the Student Information team providing first class administrative support to students and staff across all courses in both the Exeter campuses.
  • Under guidance of the Student Support Manager, coordinate the smooth operation of the Student Services and Assessments functions for the campus in accordance with University procedures and regulations and ensure deadlines are met
  • Dealing with enquiries from clients, visitors and staff ensuring accurate and professional responses at all times in keeping with the corporate image of The University ensuring excellent customer service at all times
  • Work collaboratively with the other student facing services teams ensuring delivery of integrated administrative tasks in a time manner

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Assist with developing and maintaining effective and constructive relationships with students, external visitors, colleagues, suppliers and other stakeholders and ensure they are dealt with in a professional manner
  • Deal with routine and complex enquiries in relation to general information in a professional and pro-active manner
  • Actively look for ways to improve the services and bring proposals to the attention of others while working collaboratively with other teams including the Student Services, Assessments, Employability and Facilities teams at the Campus to ensure an equivalent service is provide to students at the Campus
  • Proactively collaborate with the teams to assist with supporting service delivery, continued service improvement and to help ensure that services can be delivered in a timely manner
  • Be flexible in approach to role and task completion and when applicable 'step in' or 'step up' to other roles/positions that may need support
  • Monitor e-mail correspondence and telephone and respond in a professional and timely manner to requests from staff, students, visitors and suppliers

Hours for this post are 35 hours per week. The post holder will be required to take a flexible approach to their hours to meet the demands of the role, including covering teaching weekends & evenings for which time off will be given (to be taken either in the week before or after a study weekend has taken place as 'non-working days'). There will also be occasional travel to our Bristol campus.
