The Role:

A new vacancy has opened to join an experienced and small team of senior executives as the Accounting and Operations Manager. Marx Re manages large clients, placing complex risks and trading predominantly direct insurance and facultative reinsurance. This person will become part of the team responsible for the processing of accounts and operations reporting to the Head of Operations and Claims at Marx Re.

Responsibilities:

Accounting: Processing transactions (invoices/debit/credit notes), managing credit control and budgets and support in preparation of monthly accounting reports to the Group. Part of the role is assisting the MD in supporting the sales development activity and preparing quarterly forecast.

Operations: Involvement in handling and processing claims, providing assistance to the Head of Claims. Implementation of a new IT trading Platform and liaising with internal and external service providers.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

We are looking for a client account handler with experience in corporate insurance. Our ideal candidate will bring at least 5 years of experience in similar roles and will be highly analytical with excellent organisation skills. You must be diligent and meticulous in your approach, understanding the importance of attention to detail. You should also be a team player who is happy to go to the extra mile for clients and colleagues alike. Fluent in English is essential and other language is desirable e.g. Spanish or German. You may have completed your accounting or business administration qualification however experience over qualifications is preferred. You will have knowledge and excellent understanding of insurance accounting and insurance market practice.
