Supporting the month end process including full production of management accounts, forecasting and KPIs
Work closely with the Senior Finance Business Partner and Site Head of Finance to improve the impact and understanding of financial reporting by delivering a partnering approach to accounting and communication within the business.
Support the Senior Financial Business partner in ensuring consistent department reporting packs are generated in a timely manner. Attending meetings regularly with cost centre managers to gain understanding of their department, whilst providing financial oversight.
Actively participates in all standard month end routines, whilst taking accountability for specific monthly close out activities.
Work to undertake the analysis and evaluation of causes of variances for specific departments.
In partnership with operations, manage and report on inventory, including assessment of levels of provisions for slow moving stock, write offs/ups, participating in periodic stock checks.
Maintain Fixed Asset Register and support appraisal of new Capital projects.
Prepare and submit key inventory consignment returns to the customer.
Support the annual budget and quarterly forecast process.
Evaluate and understand all site expense and revenue moves in conjunction with Site management.
Support the year end and audit process.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Able to start a role immediately and commit to 12 months Recent, 'hands on’ management accounting experience Qualified (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) or qualified by experience Manufacturing or a product-based background would be highly advantageous Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships across a business Experience using an ERP system such as SAP or Oracle Strong Excel skills including pivot tables and look ups
