Core areas of responsibility within the role will include:
· Preparation of management accounts together with variance analysis against budget and underlying financial model for use by senior management and shareholders
· Attend and present at Board meetings with senior Project Managers and offer analysis that will drive the projects forward
· Ongoing forecasting and financial modelling on key projects
· Preparation of annual stat accounts
· Liaising with a variety of colleagues and stakeholders to ensure that any areas of uncertainty thrown up by the project review are clarified
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
· Practice Qualified Accountant, with strong technical skills · Sound knowledge of preparing statutory accounts (essential) · Excellent communication skills · Career minded and driven · Experience of preparing tax computations would be helpful but not essential, as would management accounting and financial modelling experience The ideal candidate will come from the profession, and ideally a small to mid-tier firm. Those currently working within the Big 4 will be considered, provided you have hands on experience of preparing statutory accounts.
