Job Description

We are looking for an ambitious, experienced and commercially minded fully qualified Management Accountant to join a growing finance function. Reporting to the Financial Controller this position will play a key role in supporting the continued global growth of Instasmile and its associated group of retail brands.

The successful candidate will join into a newly created role, working closely with the FC to develop and manage commercial models, reconciliations and robust MI to ensure the profitability of the business continues to excel through sustainable operational excellence. You should be prepared to roll your sleeves up as this role will develop over the initial 6-12 months as we build the finance function.

Key Accountabilities:

• Create and manage model for profile of merchants to understand actual performance and model potential new merchants

• Provide commercial analysis and management information to the FC & possibly other parts of the business

• Prepare monthly and annual consolidated accounts to identify results, trends and variance analysis

• Balance sheet reconciliations

• FX risk management

• Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed and reported

• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance profitability and efficiency

• Interaction with auditors

• Coach other members of finance team in new and existing processes

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

2 or more years of experience working in a commercial background. Experience of working in a medium to large e-commerce/retail business. Proficient using Microsoft Office applications. Experience with Xero accounting package (desirable). Financial modelling and forecasting skills. Analytical mindset and acute attention to detail. Qualified in a recognized professional accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
