Job Description

Millers Vanguard is the UK’s Premier Sales, Service and Maintenance company within the foodservice industry. A ‘Family style’ run business with over 40 years’ experience in maintaining and repairing foodservice devices for many major supermarket and food and beverage chains.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the role requires an enthusiastic and motivated individual, with experience of preparing timely and accurate information.
You will either be part or fully qualified AAT or similar or qualified by experience with a minimum of 3 years.

The main responsibilities will be:

• Accounts payable supervision
• Purchase order reviewing
• Analysis of monthly credit card spends
• General Ledger Analysis Work
• Sales Ledger Duties
• Credit Control
• Cash Book Postings
• Identify potential improvements to processes and procedures to improve efficiency.
• Support the Financial Controller with any ad-hoc items

A full company uniform is provided.

Working hours: Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Have previous experience of working in a busy Finance office focusing on Purchase Ledger Supervision. Knowledge of Sage 200. Strong system skills - Advanced Excel. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work as part of a team. Ability to analyze and interpret relevant information. All round financial awareness, attention to detail and the ability to priorities workloads are all essential requirements.
