Job Description
Our client, an award-winning boutique business who provide both financial and management account support to a range of businesses across the UK, are seeking an Assistant Accountant to join their office in Bolton.
As the Assistant Accountant you will be providing a wide range of accounts services along-side some other general Admin and Ad hoc duties. You will have strong all-round experience from a previous role and be able to work to your own initiative with minimal supervision to help play a vital part in the smooth running of the accounts team of 3 people.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Working proactively and supportively in your team of 3.
- Purchase and Sales Ledger responsibilities including bookkeeping, processing purchase orders, invoicing and dealing with expenses.
- Reconciliation of all purchase ledger statements
- Support with the daily running of Accounts efficiently
- Collate the relevant information for, and submit, VAT returns
- Bank Reconciliations
- Build relationships with HMRC and External clients
- Provide Administrative and Ad hoc duties to support your team
- Assist with other Accountancy tasks such as
- Month End Preparation
- P&L Reporting
- Payroll
