Produce insightful regular financial reporting, including income, expenditure, balance sheet, cashflow and other relevant metrics. Present reports to senior stakeholders, with a focus on clear communication of financial matters to all.
Proactive ownership of the balance sheet, ensuring an efficient & effective month end process and that our financial information gives a true & fair view.
Lead the year end process, including the production of the annual financial statements and preparation for the external audit.
Attend the Finance & Resources Committee meetings, and produce the minutes of those meetings.
Work together with the Financial Planning and Analysis Accountant to manage the annual financial planning cycle, providing guidance & support to budget holders.
Work together with the Financial Planning & Analysis Accountant to provide business partnering to a range of internal stakeholders.
Work together with the Systems Accountant to develop and document business processes and procedures and to introduce systems and process changes.
Manage the charity’s cash flow, ensuring adequate liquidity whilst maximising interest receivable and investment returns.
Ensure secure administration of the charity’s investments, ensuring compliance with investment and reserves policies.
Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, including the Charity SORP, Gift Aid, VAT and corporate tax requirements.
Develop and lead a high performing team, setting clear targets and encouraging personal development
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
You must be a fully qualified CCAB with significant experience preparing charity accounts. Knowledge of Charity SORP is essential. You will have demonstrable experience of managing and developing a team. You will model the charities values and embrace a transformational environment.
