Work Scope

You will be the focal point for all UK business financial issues associated with invoicing, payments, payroll and financial reporting.

What you can expect of typical responsibilities:

Accountable for maintaining the accounts payable and accounts receivable systems in order to ensure complete and accurate records of all monies.

Accounts payable

  • Management of contractor payments
  • Processing supplier invoices, reconciliations and journals
  • Issuing receipts

Payroll

  • Processing of payroll using Sage software

Staff benefits schemes

Accounts receivable

  • Management of customer invoice cycle
  • Management of debtors
  • Reconciling accounts payable
  • Preparing journal summaries

Financial Reporting

  • Compilation of cash-flow forecast
  • Compilation of debtors’ report
  • Compilation of financial management reports on monthly and ad hoc bases
  • Preparation of statutory annual reports

Bank Account Management

  • Maintaining contact with bankers, investment managers, pension advisors and auditors
  • Monitoring cash reserves and investments
  • Preparing and reconciling bank statements

Maintainance of:

  • The computerized accounting system using Quickbooks
  • Financial files and records

Who you are:

  • You will have excellent accounting and bookkeeping skills
  • You will have demonstrable relevant experience in a similar (previous) role
  • You must be comfortable working unsupervised and have an aptitude for developing into a role
  • You must be proactive, self-motivated and display an innate ability to problem solve
  • You must be able to maintain strict confidentiality when performing your duties
  • You will be a consistent deadline meeter
  • You will have superior organisational skills
  • You will display excellent written and oral communication skills

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Minimum 5 years’ solid experience in similar role AAT/ACCA accreditation
