Double entry bookkeeping using predominantly QuickBooks, ReceiptBank and Excel.
Completing VAT returns
Preparation of P & L accounts
Offering clients guidance and advice in maintaining their records
Preparation of Self-Assessment Tax Returns from Bookkeeping records
Communicate and liaise verbally and in writing on requests for information and queries
Provide support to the team to efficiently manage work in progress
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients and colleagues
Adhere to procedures relating to the production and maintenance of client records within the practice.
Maintain regular consistent and professional attendance, punctuality, personal appearance and adherence to relevant health and safety procedures
Manage, organise and update relevant data using database applications accordingly
Adhoc duties as required

Qualified AAT, Level 2/3 or equivalent Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles Working experience of Excel, QuickBooks and other accounting software Experience in TaxCalc software an advantage VAT experience Experience within an accountancy practice an advantage Experience working with incomplete client records Excellent communication skills Local knowledge an advantage
