Exciting career opportunity for a Financial Accountant to join the Finance team of a highly successful and growing FMCG company, assisting the Financial Controller in setting up a new food manufacturing facility.

Reporting into the Financial Controller, your key responsibilities will be;

• To assist the Financial Controller in ensuring that the finance team meets their operational and business targets, controls and reporting requirements on time and with accuracy
• Accurate weekly P&L reporting including analysis and commentary
• Analysis and explanation of performance
• Reconciliation of weekly to monthly accounts with no variances
• Maintain accurate input costs within the Commercial models
• Ensure that weekly and monthly reporting timelines are met
• Liaison with internal and external auditors
• Ensuring ledgers remain tidy and payments are made within terms
• Maximization of working capital
• Complete monthly cash flow forecasting
• Reconciliation of control accounts
• Full month end accounts pack completion and submission to Group
• Assist the Financial Controller with ad hoc projects
• Ensuring all finance reporting and processes meet the requirements of internal and external audit requirements

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Previous experience in a similar FMCG Financial Accountant position and fully qualified  (ACCA/CIMA). Proven experience of working in a very fast paced environment, being highly organised, adaptable and flexible, managing multiple priorities, projects and complex requests at once in a time pressured environment. Excellent problem solving skills, superb written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and communicate in a clear, articulate and concise manner. Highly numerate with a keen eye for detail and accuracy along with excellent data analytical skills. Excellent working knowledge of MS Office including advanced Excel skills and experience of Microsoft Navision would be beneficial.
