Job Description

We are seeking a Financial Accounting Analyst for a long term contract role based at a prestigious company based near Immingham.  This is an excellent opportunity to work with one of the region’s leading employers. This role will be for an initial 12 month period, working full time 40 hours per week.

Basic purpose/accountabilities

Support the Financial Accounting team within their varied responsibilities supporting the UK business.

Primary functions/responsibilities

• Assist in the process to produce annual Statutory Accounts (14 entities)
• Assist the team in the accounting for the companies Retail operation. This would include both daily control activity and month-end responsibilities.
• Completion of multiple balance sheet reconciliations in accordance with required timescales and company policy.
• Assist in the compilation of internal and external business questionnaires.
• Undertaking ad-hoc accounting projects and special reviews as requested.
• Journal preparation and entry.
• Working within strict controls environment with the drive for efficiencies and elimination of non- value adding work.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong financial and analytical background, part-qualified/qualified accountant preferable. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. IT skills – strong Excel and ideally SAP experience. Experience with intercompany management. Strong numeracy skills. Legally authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
