Job Description

Reporting into the Finance Manager, the Finance Assistant will support the business in a number of areas of transactional accounting including purchase ledger, sales ledger and query resolution.

You will ideally be AAT Qualified and have at least 2-3 years’ experience working in a busy finance team. Experience of Management Accounting is also desirable, as is experience of using Accountancy packages such as SAGE Accounts. You will also have excellent IT skills and be a strong user of Microsoft Packages, including Excel, as to be expected for most finance roles.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

  • Managing the purchase ledger invoicing.
  • Reconciling creditor statements with PL and requesting copy invoices if required.
  • Dealing with volume email and telephone queries through to completion.
  • Managing the sales invoice processing.
  • Managing customers
  • Chasing outstanding purchase orders.
  • Provide cover for other Finance team member during holidays.
  • Assist with ad hoc tasks for the Accounts Department by mutual agreement with the Finance Manager.
