Job Description

Your new role
In this new role you will manage new and existing funding that comes in to the organisation and will provide financial advice on where the funds should be allocated. The role will be project focused and you will assist in the development of funding schedules, receiving and processing grants/funds and liaising directly with internal and external stakeholders. You will review all monthly forecasts and will deputise for the Senior Accountant as required. You will maintain the data in the ledger and will assist in the production of statutory accounts. You will be involved in budgeting as well.

What you'll get in return
You will receive an excellent salary and benefits package and will have the opportunity to progress your career.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
It would be highly beneficial if you came from a local authority background, however, this isn't essential for the role. Your previous experience should involve transferable skills, ideally from a financial accounts background, including assessing balance sheets, year-end preparation and accounts prep. You should be AAT qualified and ideally be studying towards a professional finance qualification. It would beneficial if you have experience of grant funding regimes and you should have experience of working on financial projects. You will be strong and confident in person and will be comfortable liaising with senior stakeholders. You should have experience of budgeting and forecasting.
