Job Description

A great opportunity to join a leading local business and drive in new systems and processes to assist in the delivery against objectives.

THE ROLE:
As Supply Chain Manager you will hold accountability for managing the operations in relation to the companies Supply Chain and procurement activities.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing robust supply chain management strategy in line with delivering against company objectives.
  • Management of the procurement, planning, warehousing and logistics functions and development of each department’s ongoing strategy.
  • Streamlining delivery processes both internally and to customer.
  • Optimize inventory management processes to deliver efficiencies and stock reduction on site.
  • Foster strong and collaborative supplier relationships, meeting and developing collaborative working relationships.
  • Cost down initiatives.
  • Work to improve planning processes to improve supply to manufacturing.
  • Monitoring overall performance of department.
  • Identifying and delivering projects linked to system optimization (MRP/ERP)

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
CIPS qualified. Experience of lean tools. Project management experience. Collaborative working style. Flexible approach. Good experience in managing supplier quality. Demonstrated cost saving experience.
