Job Description

A Supplier Quality Manager is required within a highly regulated FMCG manufacturer in the Grimsby area, with a chance to work with their suppliers around the world, travelling to each site when required.

A reputable brand with a headcount of around 150 heads, and a turnover of >£20M, this is a world class opportunity for a Technical Manager to work in an environment that are truly committed to Quality and Safety from the top, ensure these processes are being delivered for the customers in each country they operate.

The position requires someone with the ability to travel abroad regularly when required and if not offsite with a client work closely to support the Head of Technical at the Grimsby site.

Duties & Responsibilities include:

• Carry out Technical audits for all existing suppliers.
• Liaise with suppliers on technical matters, ensuring effective and timely close out of any non-conformances raised during the audit process.
• Carry out approval audits on any new suppliers based upon risk.
• Provide Technical support to all existing suppliers and ensure they are compliant with the appropriate retailers' policies and codes of practice.
• Liaise with all customers and organize customer audits at supplying manufacturing sites.
• Accompany customers on site visits at global locations and audits where appropriate.
• Maintain the Company's annual audit schedule.
• Help identify, maintain and build on current relationships with all customers.
• In conjunction with suppliers carry out gap analysis audits against retailer policies and codes of practice.
• Maintain certification against the BRC Global Standard for Agents and Brokers.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong FMCG factory process and product knowledge. Food Related degree (nice to have). Strong organizational skills with the ability to travel abroad when required. Extensive knowledge of technical remit including key retailer requirements. BRC specialist (auditor preferred).
