This role will give you exposure to a wide range of accounting and analytical duties as you take on responsibility for key contracts. You will have excellent analytical skills and feel comfortable working with large volumes of complex data. Working closely with the Accountants & Finance Business Partners, you will be providing analytical insight for the facilities management arm of the business and provide commentary to the wider business on performance, as well as suggesting new ways and processes of working to increase efficiency.
Duties & Responsibilities of the Commercial Analyst will include:
Follow the set processes and procedures to validate revenue and costs in a timely manner for a number of key contracts
Weekly and monthly checks of payroll for accuracy including investigations into scheduling hours, pay rates and charge rates
Liaise with Admin on the set up of new contracts and the maintenance of existing contracts
Record price variations ensuring systems are up to date at all times
Revenue generation for manually billed customers
Review and management of accrued revenue
Purchase Order Management
Assist the Accounts Receivable team with debt calls and query resolution
Apply Minimum Financial Standards where appropriate, ensure relevant balance sheet accounts are well maintained and properly controlled
Produce timely and accurate management reporting to support the Accountants and Operational Managers
Manage Ad Hoc requests for analysis from the business to support with decision making
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Advanced IT skills, including Excel (pivot tables / v look ups). Experience of working within an analytical position. A keen eye for detail. Ability to work with non-finance staff. Ability to work well as a team. Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise with individuals at all levels.
