Job Description

Purpose of the role:

To deliver outstanding customer service and effective administration support. Dealing with customer orders, sales, and after-sales communication, sales transactions, and merchandising of products. This role consists of order processing, customer service, data input, and administration

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Tending to customer communications via telephone and email
  • Timely and accurate administration of all eBay and other marketplace administration systems, processes & procedures
  • Effective use of operating systems to administer sales and refund transactions ensuring stock and sales reconciliation and the maintenance of an accurate stock file
  • Liaising with customers and third-party service providers to ensure customer orders are delivered in accordance with our service level agreements
  • Highlight opportunities to drive revenues, increase customer satisfaction and enhance the customer experience generally
  • Priorities, action and undertake any additional duties as instructed
  • Work closely with other internal/external teams
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with both colleagues and customers using the appropriate behaviors and tools available
  • Understand and demonstrate our Values, appropriate behaviors, and attitudes, adopting a positive "can do", solution-based approach to issues and challenges
  • Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with Security and Health & Safety legislation/policies
  • Ensure all Manual and Mechanical Handling Equipment is used safely and in accordance with the relevant training/assessments

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Must demonstrate a high level of customer focus and a passion to deliver an outstanding customer experience. The applicant must develop and maintain a high level of knowledge of all aspects of the eBay systems and operations to ensure effective performance of duties. Work in a team within both office and warehouse environments. Reports to Marketplace Operations First Line Manager. Professional approach to all duties and communications with customers, colleagues and external agencies. Excellent customer service skills. Customer focused. Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey the appropriate image. Highly computer literate (Internet, email, MS Office). Good knowledge & understanding of a wide range of electrical products and "tech" Organizing skills. Flexible and adaptable. Confident and resilient. Able to meet deadlines. Attention to detail. Personal drive & motivation to deliver the highest standards. Knowledge of the correct Manual Handling procedures. Has knowledge of site procedures and processes to include; Security, time and attendance, absence, briefings. Knowledge of the Health & Safety procedures. Use of Eclipse system (Desirable). Experience of e-commerce & product merchandising (Desirable). Excellent understanding of eBay and/ or other marketplace sales platform, operating principles & procedures of all functional areas (Desirable). Experience of Linnworks operating platform OR Experience of other operating platforms (Desirable).
