Accountancy Practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are currently working with a leading and prestigious firm of chartered accountants in Manchester who are seeking to add an ACA / ACCA Qualified Audit & Accounts Senior to the team.

This highly progressive and distinguished firm are now looking to add an ambitious individual to the team who is keen to develop their career with a well-renowned firm.

Working as an Audit & Accounts Senior, the successful candidate will undertake a varied role in which you will gain exposure to a wide range of clients from a variety of business sectors. The role will see you leading audit assignments from the initial planning stage through to completion as well as the preparation and review of year-end accounts and tax compliance.

You will be responsible for supervising junior members of the audit team, assisting in their development, and providing guidance.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Prepare the audit plan and ensure it appropriately addresses audit objectives.
• Take an active part in the audit planning and fraud discussion to identify audit risks and appropriate audit strategy.
• Oversee all aspects of audit fieldwork and completion.
• Ensure planned audit work is appropriately completed to satisfy audit objectives.
• Supervising & developing more junior members of staff
• Accounts preparation for sole traders, limited companies & partnerships

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

The ideal candidate will be ACCA / ACA Qualified or at the final stages of their studies and will have recent experience of undertaking a mixed audit and accounts position. ACA / ACCA Qualified or Finalist. Experience of leading Audit assignments.
