The Role

The position of Accountant will be involved in a number of high value and business critical projects. Due to the position being a new created vacancy, the business have the ability to tailor the level & salary of the role to suit a part qualified Accountant, finalist or newly qualified Accountant.

The offices premises are based in Edinburgh city centre however the role will begin as home working with all the suitable equipment provided to facilitate a professional and efficient remote onboarding.

You will be involved in but not restricted to the following duties

• Reporting to the Head of Financial Projects
• Preparation of monthly reporting packs
• Variance analysis
• Commercial analysis - P&L, KPI’s
• Cashflow analysis, budgeting and forecasting
• Assisting with year-end accounts and annual audit preparation
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• VAT returns
• Overseeing AP, AR, GL and Expenses
• Building relationships with senior internal stakeholder and external consultants
• Adhoc duties

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Part qualified/finalist (actively studying) or a qualified Accountant Project accounting experience is advantageous Strong ERP system exposure Intermediate to advanced user of Excel Excellent verbal and written communication skills
