The Role

The role of Audit Senior is an excellent opportunity for a Qualified Accountant to join a leading Accountancy Firm with an excellent track record. This role would be well suited to someone from a smaller firm looking to gain more Audit experience or exposure to larger more complex clients, or conversely, someone from the Big 4 who is looking to work with a portfolio revolving more around owner managed businesses.

The role of Audit Senior will offer a competitive salary of £35,000 - £38,000 depending on your experience plus a competitive benefits package and a flexible working environment.

The role will involve the following:

• Playing a crucial part in the audit of a varied portfolio of clients across a wide range of sectors
• Leading the onsite audit team and acting as the main point of contact for the client
• Developing and maintaining effective client relationships and identifying cross-selling opportunities where appropriate
• Play a key role in the Audit from planning through to completion stage
• Reviewing the work of junior team members and acting a role model for them
• Reporting findings to Management/Partners and preparing audit report/summary
• Assisting with inhouse training sessions
• Ensuring that work is completed within the agreed timescales and budgets

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Be a Qualified Accountant - ACCA/ICAS or equivalent. Strong Part Qualified or Finalist candidates may be considered Have had exposure to external audit within an Accountancy Firm Possess strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport and credibility Have a proactive and forward-thinking approach
